INTRODUCTION

Going to the gym was never part of my plan like others. As I never take physical activities so seriously , I always believed that staying active occasionally was sufficient for me. But over time my life became more hectic day by day due to my lifestyle, studies, classes, screen timing , irregular sleep which affect my mental health as well as  my physical state 

At the age of 18,  I decided to focus on myself, so I decided to join the gym for my regular physical activity. Later on, I understand that gym is not only helping me in growing physically but also help me in my mental well being.

This blog shares my personal experience of the changes I noticed in my physique as well as in my nature after joining the gym.

Going to the gym became the turning point in my life both physically and mentally. Many people wonder whether gym is good or bad, but personal experience proved that it can be a life changing decision

 


MY LIFE BEFORE JOINING THE GYM

Before joining the gym my routine was very irregular in all aspects like in sleep, diet etc. I feel exhausted and tired even by doing small tasks. I also feel tired even after sleeping 7-8 hr. Most of my time goes in scrolling and by the end of the day, I feel unproductive which makes me guilty and also affects my mental health badly.

As I didn’t have any physical activity in my daily routine which also affected my physical appearance and made me feel underconfident about my body. 

Before joining the gym, I didn’t realize how badly my lifestyle was affecting my both physical and mental health 

At the time i didn't realized how much going to the gym help me to avoid all my unhealthy habits easily.


INITIAL STRUGGLES AT THE GYM

In the beginning, going to the gym felt very uncomfortable because I had no idea what was going on, how to do the exercises. After seeing people who had been exercising  for  many years, I want to do the exercises like them . Some days I felt so lazy to go to the gym, but the one thing I understand after going to the gym regularly  is “consistency”.

Sometimes, it is also difficult for me to manage the time because I do not have a proper schedule of my day, so it became quite hectic to manage study, coaching, gym, sleep and everything at once.

In the gym, I also felt like if I did something wrong or if I lifted less weight everyone is going to judge me and make fun of me. But later, I understand that no one is perfect and everyone in the gym is coming to become the best version of themselves.




PHYSICAL CHANGES I NOTICED 

By going to the gym regularly I noticed many positive changes in my body physically. It helps me  increase my body strength, I feel less tired and lazy throughout the day and feel more productive.

Even my round shoulders and other body postures are correcting by themselves. It helps me to regain my confidence. It makes my body more flexible. 


MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL BENEFITS

After going to the gym regularly I feel a good impact on my mental health. As I felt less stress and less anxious throughout the day . I started learning to tackle even difficult situations calmly, as the gym helps us to take control of our own mind.

Gym became one of the happiest places for me, as I focus on myself without any distraction. Seeing others doing workout also motivates me to push myself and do better . In the starting the exercises which feel difficult or quite impossible for me to do will automatically become doable over time. It helps me to regain my self confidence again. But in the beginning going to gym felt like a challenge but with time it became the part of my daily routine


DISCIPLINE AND LIFESTYLE CHANGES

Going to the gym regularly helps me to get into discipline. I start planning my whole day the night before so that I can get sufficient time for my gym and studies.  Going to the gym indirectly motivates me to take  a healthy balanced diet which helps my productivity because I don’t feel lazy after waking up in the morning. As I learned consistency from the gym which also helps me in other areas of my life. Sometimes i also don’t train intensely gym everyday but maintaining regular workout helped me stay consistent and disciplined 





 

LESSONS THE GYM TAUGHT ME

The lessons I learned from the gym were consistency, patience and self discipline. For any changes in our body or in our life it takes time and we need to be patient for that change without stopping and getting demotivated from anyone.

Joining the gym was one of the best decisions I made for myself for the growth of my physical and mental well being . It not only helped me to improve my physical and mental state but also taught me the importance of consistency , patience, maintaining a healthy balanced diet, time management and more.

If anyone is thinking of joining a gym , it’s time to start without wasting any more time. My advice is start slow, don’t get influenced by anyone, and lift the weight according to your capacity only.

Gym helps in the overall development of an individual. In my life i never believe that I would consistently go to the gym but that decision changes my lifestyle 

I truly believe that going to the gym can transform anyone physical and mental heath
